Think about your future - Plan for your career


As you begin your second year of high school, consider your educational needs beyond high school.  What are important accomplishments to best prepare you for college:

               Academic Performance

               Individual Graduation Plan

               Take the PSAT

               Career Assessments

                Occupational Outlook

                Extra-curricular Activities/ Leadership Roles/ and                     Volunteer service

 

Prepare for college or the work force:

                Improve your study skills

                Improve your writing skills

                Challenge yourself with harder classes

                Consider Dual Enrollment at a local college

 

Attend college fairs to learn more about colleges and college majors

 

Research standardized test:  PSAT, SAT, ACT and take the AP Exam if taking an AP course.  Be informed as to when you should take these test.

Learn about paying for college - financial aid - scholarships - grants and student loans
