Look for opportunities to earn college credit by taking Advanced Placement (AP) classes or participating in Dual Enrollment programs at the local colleges

Evaluate your career plans.

Discuss your career and post secondary plans with your parents, counselor and teachers

Look carefully at colleges and their entrance requirements to ensure your are taking the right course while in high school

SCHOOL INVOLVEMENT TO CONSIDER

Consider youth leadership, apprenticeship, internship or work-based learning programs

Seek out involvement in clubs, student council and participation in sports
